{"id":8239,"date":"2025-01-30T16:48:51","date_gmt":"2025-01-30T16:48:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nelsontraining.co.uk\/wordpress\/?p=8239"},"modified":"2025-01-30T16:48:54","modified_gmt":"2025-01-30T16:48:54","slug":"equality-update-equality-impact-assessment-workshops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nelsontraining.co.uk\/wordpress\/equality-update-equality-impact-assessment-workshops\/","title":{"rendered":"Equality Update &amp; Equality Impact Assessment Workshops"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Just thought we\u2019d let you know about some recent workshops we delivered in Horsham helping managers and senior leaders with updates on changes in\u00a0<strong>Equality Legislation since 2010<\/strong>\u00a0and conducting effective\u00a0<strong>Equality Impact Assessments.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Now, nobody likes doing these, but the government views them as a crucial tool to demonstrate \u2018due regard\u2019 to the Public Sector Equality Duty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While there, we can also update your senior managers on the latest legal requirements under acts such as the&nbsp;<strong>Worker Protection Act 2023<\/strong>&nbsp;and those in the pipeline so that you can be well ahead of the game. Our workshop starts with a \u2018guess the payout\u2019 quiz to remind ourselves what can happen when organisations fall foul of recent rulings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our workshop takes managers through the process of completing an Equality Impact Assessment for any existing or new policies or services and shares tips, hints, and shortcuts!
